Recently the unlikely duo have actually been picking up some pretty impressive victories, including a #1 contender’s battle royal where they outlasted almost every single tag team in the Monday Night Raw tag team division. This week, Curtis Axel proved to the world that “Axelmania” is still running wild, defeating Woken Matt in singles action, leading Raw General Manager Kurt Angle to officially announce a title match between the two teams at WWE Extreme Rules, set to take place on Sunday, July 15th.

Also announced for the show is a WWE Championship match between AJ Styles and the “Lion of Bulgaria”, as Rusev will get his first one-on-one world title opportunity on WWE pay-per-view. Alexa Bliss is also set to defend the Raw Women’s Championship against Nia Jax.
